Concept

Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 997 single-seated, near-standard race vehicle was developed based on the current 911 generation. The development was focused mainly on aerodynamics. The new bow is used in its basic shape also for the aero kit, which is available as an extra for the current 911 Carrera models.

The new 911 GT3 Cup possesses of a sequential gearbox, allowing up-shifts at full throttle without using the clutch. In Porsche Michelin Supercup (Europe) the race cars are equipped with the revolutionary Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), whereas the race cars used in the Carrera Cups (other parts of the world) use a high-performance steel brake.
